Welcome to the Vice President’s page! The Vice President’s cabinet is responsible for providing students with fun, campus-wide programming and is home to some of the Student Government’s largest departments, such as the Kennedy Political Union (KPU) and the Student Union Board (SUB).
Our current Vice President is Liz Richards. Liz is a junior at AU and currently studies political science and philosophy. She grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, where she attended a public arts high school. There, she studied musical theater and, for the first time, became involved in her student government.
Upon entering AU, Liz joined the College Democrats, where she became the leader of the Women’s Caucus, which helped foster a dialogue among students about gender parity, women in contemporary issues, and other matters of social equality. Last year, she became a member of the Student Government as a Senator for the Class of 2012, where she became Vice Chair of the Budget Committee.
Liz’s goal as Vice President is to make sure that every event is a hit. Whether it is the Founders Day Ball, a KPU speaker, a SUB concert, or any other Student Government event, students should always walk away smiling.
